The Midwest Texas Longhorn Association (MTLA) is proudly based in Indiana and dedicated to promoting, preserving, and educating others about the Texas Longhorn breed throughout the Midwest. Our group brings together breeders, exhibitors, and enthusiasts to support youth involvement, host quality ITLA-approved shows, and build lasting friendships within the Longhorn community.
Throughout the year, MTLA hosts meetings at member ranches, giving members the opportunity to tour operations, view available cattle, and connect with fellow Longhorn enthusiasts. Our main event each year is the MTLA Longhorn Show, where exhibitors and cattle travel in from across the United States to compete and showcase the breed.
While MTLA is rooted in Indiana, membership is open to anyone—no matter your state. Whether you’re a longtime breeder, new to the breed, or simply interested in learning more, we’d love to have you involved.
